August Review

My family ( 5 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs) stayed for a week at this lovely cottage.

It is beautifully decorated and very spacious with many little added extra touches.

The weather wasn’t very kind to us but we made good use of the private garden and the children loved the table tennis ( when the adults allowed them a turn!). We managed one afternoon by the pool and had a lovely time in and out of the water. The dogs enjoyed walking in the wooded area around the cottage and the children loved the swing on the tree in the driveway up to the house.

Tavistock is just a few minutes away by car and is well worth a visit. We also went to Plymouth (20 minutes), Torquay, Salcombe and Seaton which are all about an hour away.

The cottage has everything you need and more. It is very clean and well maintained and the owners Rosemary and Gerald are friendly and helpful.

It is the extra thoughtful touches that make this a lovely place to stay : we arrived to the table set for a cream tea, home made scones, clotted cream, jam …oh and not to forget the bottle of Cava in the fridge!

We would highly recommend Furzeland Down Cottage to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us. Our trip to Grenofen was made by your generous efforts and devotion to ensuring we were comfortable, informed and made the most of your glorious surrounds. Thank you again for making us feel at home and for sharing your slice of paradise! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Ryan. July 2015

Thank you for a lovely time and for being so helpful during our stay. Tavistock was lovely and highly recommend Duke’s Cafe. Our walk to Widgery Cross at sunset was well worth the walk. Herts.

I really loved staying here. I had lots of fun with Bella, the retriever and the smaller dog (Weasy) Lil. Also, one of the cats (Saffron) canme into our house a lot. The pool was really fun and I was in nearly every day. It was quite cold though. Frankie 12 .———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The cottage was perfect – beautifully equipped, and thank you for all the little extras. We had some great days out. Cycling on the Darkes Trail, climbing tors, Buckland Abbey and the seaside. We also really enjoyed being at the cottage and grounds. August 2015
